Data Logging
Data
logging allows you to produce output text files containing selected
spectral parameters along with a timestamp showing when the event
occurred. A separate file is written for each enabled channel.
Options
Enable Logging: controls the overall logging status.
Filename Format: selects the filename format to use for each channel. You can also directly specify the filename to be used.
Overwrite Existing file: if a file with the same name already exists it will be overwritten/
Append to Existing file: if a file with the same name already exists, new data will be apended.
Include Time Stamp in first column: if selected, a time stamp will be written for each line in the log file
Include Header on first row: if selected, a descriptive header row will be written on the first line of the file.
Viewer Program:
Select the name of the text editor you wish to use for viewing the data
logging output files. The output data is always written in ASCII
text. Notepad is the default.
Logging options for each channel
Output Data Type: Check the data items you want to write to the log file.
Logging Interval: Determines how often the spectral data is logged to the output file.
View Output File: Opens the current data log file using the specified viewer program.
View Data Logging Folder:
Opens the data log folder using Explorer so you can manage your data
log files. The default folder is set in the <File><Set
Paths> menu.
Notes: Use
caution when logging the entire spectrum values for large frequency
ranges. The resulting data file will be very large. Use the
Marked Spectrum option to limit the frequency range.
